Medusa Radiometrics MS-350

Advanced Gamma-Ray Spectrometer for UAV and Ground-Based Radiation Surveys

The Medusa Radiometrics MS-350 is a professional gamma-ray spectrometer engineered for high-resolution radiometric mapping and environmental radiation monitoring. Designed for both handheld and drone-borne deployment, the MS-350 provides a versatile solution for geological exploration, soil mapping, contamination assessment, radiation safety monitoring, and mineral prospecting.

Featuring a rugged 350 ml caesium iodide (CsI) scintillation crystal, the MS-350 delivers reliable gamma-ray measurements while maintaining a lightweight payload of just 2.7 kg. This makes it ideally suited for integration with commercially available UAV platforms, including the DJI M400, M300 RTK and M350 RTK, allowing operators to rapidly collect radiation data over large areas while reducing survey time and personnel exposure.

When paired with the SkyHub TTF integration package available from JBUAS, survey data can be streamed, recorded, and managed efficiently during flight operations. The system supports terrain-following missions, enabling consistent sensor height above ground level for improved data quality and survey repeatability.

The MS-350 incorporates Medusa’s proprietary Detector Operating System (mDOS), providing real-time radionuclide analysis, survey planning tools, and onboard data processing. Post-processing is completed using GammAn software, allowing detailed interpretation of collected radiometric datasets.
