Zond Aero LF GPR System

Professional Airborne Ground Penetrating Radar for Deep Subsurface Mapping

The RadSys Zond Aero LF GPR is a specialised low-frequency Ground Penetrating Radar system developed for UAV-based geophysical investigations where penetration depth is the primary requirement. Designed to detect and map deep subsurface features, the system is ideally suited to geological studies, environmental assessments, mining applications, infrastructure investigations, and large-scale archaeological projects.

Unlike conventional higher-frequency GPR systems that prioritise target resolution, the Aero LF utilises a low-frequency antenna configuration to maximise signal penetration into the ground. This enables operators to investigate significantly greater depths while maintaining reliable target detection and interpretation.

The system employs advanced Real-Time Sampling (RTS) technology and digital signal processing to deliver stable, high-quality radar data even in challenging survey conditions. The resulting radar profiles provide valuable information on buried structures, geological boundaries, cavities, sediment layers, and subsurface anomalies across large survey areas.

Designed specifically for drone deployment, the Aero LF integrates seamlessly with DJI M400, M300 RTK and DJI M350 RTK aircraft through UgCS SkyHub. RTK-positioned survey data is automatically recorded throughout flight operations, providing highly accurate georeferenced datasets suitable for professional analysis and reporting.

The lightweight design, combined with efficient UAV deployment, allows survey teams to cover extensive areas significantly faster than traditional ground-based geophysical methods while accessing terrain that may otherwise be difficult or unsafe to survey.
